About Author: Jiang Qinggong, graphic designer, was born in Shanghai in 1960 and taught himself graphic design and children’s book illustration in the 1980s. Since founding a personal design studio in 1994, Jiang has been engaged in graphic design for 20 years. He is now the art director of Shanghai View Studio, also an observer and researcher of urban as well design culture who has been active for the recent 10 years in publication and design education, also in participating public events such as making exhibitions and giving lectures. He is the author of Typo in Shanghai, Shanghai Illustration 1900–1999, Shanghai Typography 1900–2014, Shanghai Height, Shanghai Shikumen and many other visual.
